Donald Paul Knight passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2023 at the age of 92, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Jeanne for over 70 years and loving father of nine children.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Lotus Knight and his oldest son Richard.

He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne, his sister Nancy and his children Robyn (David), Kim (Patrick), Eric (Debra), Bradley (Janet), Beth, Rebecca (Chris), Shanna (Paul) and Rachel, 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Donald graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn in 1949 where he met his wife Jeanne. He was drafted into the Army after attending college briefly. Following his honorable discharge, he began his career working for Detroit Edison. He retired after 41 years in 1991. After retirement, Donald continued to do electrical work and was always happy to help family and friends.

He was also very talented and creative. He had many hobbies, one of which was carving beautiful Duck Decoys in his workshop.

Donald loved the outdoors. He most cherished his primitive camping & fishing trips with his friends, children & grandchildren. They went to the Loud Dam on the Au Sable River near Tawas. He knew all the good spots!

Donald was one of a kind and has left a lasting impression on those that he leaves behind. There will forever be an empty space in the lives of those who love him, and although he may not be with us as he was, the memories will always live on in our hearts.
