Obituary

Donald "Don" Robbins passed away on March 15, 2025 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Janet Robbins for almost 53 years. Loving father of Kevin (Colleen) Robbins, and Nicholas (Rachel) Robbins. Cherished grandfather of Samantha and Charlotte Robbins. Dearest brother of Marilyn Robbins.

Don was always willing to help others in need. He developed a love for the outdoors early on—a passion that carried throughout his life. He found joy in hunting, camping, and spending time on his pontoon boat, surrounded by family and friends. His love for adventure was matched only by his love for speed, as he had a lifelong passion for racecars.

Donald honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, demonstrating courage and dedication. After his military service, he went on to build a career at General Motors, where he worked diligently for 30 years before retiring. His strong work ethic and loyalty left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Beyond his career and passions, Donald's true joy came from his family. He was a proud and loving grandfather, and nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his granddaughters. Whether cheering them on, sharing stories, or simply enjoying their company, they were the light of his life. He was also a dedicated Detroit Red Wings fan, always eager to watch a game and root for his favorite team.

Don lived his life with adventure, laughter, and an open heart. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever remain in the memories and love he shared.
