Obituary

Doreen Frances (Reuter) Kasonovich, 93, of Dearborn, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017. She was born on December 3, 1923 in Belleville, MI, the daughter of Anthony and Ida (Theisen) Reuter. She graduated from Belleville High School in 1942. Doreen was an original "Rosie the Riveter" and she worked as an overhead crane operator in the bomber factory at Willow Run during WWII. After the war, she worked for both Burroughs (Unisys) and General Motors before her retirement. She married Daniel Kasonovich on August 10, 1957. She was a long time Dearborn resident and member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. She is survived by her sister, Irene (Reuter) Madar of Dearborn and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, and her brothers, Louis and Anthony Reuter.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29th, from 3pm-8pm at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave.
A funeral service will take place on Monday, January 30th, at 11 am at Howe-Peterson.

Memorial donations can be made in her honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
