Doreen Makara was born October 24, 1943, to Dorothy and Robert Miloch.

She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Dearborn, in 1961.

She graduated from Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing (Cincinnati) as a Registered Nurse.  She retired after 40 years of nursing at Oakwood Hospital, Dearborn.

While attending Good Samaritan, she met Edward Makara, the love of her life for fifty-four married years.  Edward preceded her in death in 2020.

Doreen was the Loving Sister to Thomas Miloch (Mary), Ted Miloch (Marianne), and Mary Lou Susami (Jack).

Doreen was the Loving Aunt to Ted Miloch Jr, Christine (Miloch) Oshefsky, Mari Susami, and Molly (Susami) Dishmon.

Doreen was the Loving Great Aunt to fourteen nieces and nephews.

Doreen loved kids and enjoyed reading books.

A graveside service will be held at Mt Kelly Cemetery in Dearborn on Wednesday, March 16 at 11:30am. A luncheon will follow at Peterlins Restaurant in Farmington.
