Dorothy Florence Babinski age 95, of Dearborn, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2022 at Beaumont Commons through the care of Angela Hospice. She was born on March 13, 1927 to Thomas and Martha Kurzyniec.

Dorothy was the loving wife of the late Walter. She is survived by her children, Gregory (Audrey) Babinski, Chris Babinski, Dave Babinski, Mark Babinski, Walter Babinski, Mary McDonald, and Sue (Tim) Pryor. Proud Grandma to Steven, Daniel, Micah, Addison, Ross, and William. Great-grandma of Isaac, Malcolm, Madeleine, and Ezra.

She was predeceased by her children, Cathleen Babinski, Matthew Babinski, and Gerard Babinski, and by sisters, Martha Tranchida and Stella Besek.

Dorothy enjoyed travelling to new places, especially by train. She could often be found eating out at her favorite restaurants and trying new ones too. She enjoyed listening to music, watching old western movies, and rooting for her Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. Dorothy's greatest joy was to spend time with her family. She set the example of what a matriarch should be, having mastered the perfect balance of creating fun and fulfilling memories and instilling discipline when it was needed.

Visitation will be at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home on Friday, October 28, 11am-1pm. Service will be at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
