BRICHTA, Dorothy Jane of Valparaiso, IN and previously Canadian Lakes, MI. Beloved mother and grandmother, age 97, died Saturday, August 15. She was born June 15, 1918 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Clarence and Camilla (Monahan) Davis. She is survived by two sons, Joseph (Rose) Brichta of San Antonio, TX, and Thomas (Kathleen) Brichta of Dearborn, MI, five grandchildren, Bethany, Christine, Marie, Kelly and Michael Brichta, her siblings, Claire Davis and Alice Dahmer, both of Brighton, MI and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Camilla Reese, brother John Davis and her husband Joseph W. Brichta. Family will receive friends at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe Peterson Funeral Home from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 20. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dearborn, Michigan at 11:00 am Friday, August 21. (Instate at 10:30 am).
