On Sunday, October 6 ^th , 2019 our Lord called home an amazing woman, Dorothy M. Ferguson of Lincoln Park, MI. In the presence of multiple generations and after an incredible life of 96 years, Dorothy was finally free to rejoin the large number of loved ones that predeceased her.

Immediately prior to leaving us, Dorothy remained one of the strongest people to walk among us. Even at her age, she maintained her independent living, driving to and from church and even supporting others that needed her in any way she could.

Dorothy was predeceased by her loving spouse, James C. Ferguson, both parents George and Josephine Hayton as well as siblings Lenore Ealem, Eula Hayton and Arnold Hayton. Also leaving her too soon were her children James A. Ferguson, Linda L. Meggison, Deborah Stallions and Sharon Ferguson. She is survived by her loving daughter, Judy A. Fowler, 12 cherished grandchildren, 23 amazing great-grandchildren and 6 blessed great-great-grandchildren and a large extended family, a few special friends and the entire Gilead church family.

To celebrate a life that has touched so many, services will be held on Wednesday, October 9 ^th from 9:00 a.m. ET until 1:00 p.m. ET at the J.L. Peters Funeral Home located at 3880 Fort Street, in Lincoln Park. The funeral will immediately follow from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the same location.
