DOUGLAS EUGENE CUTLER, age 81 of Estero, Florida Doug passed away peacefully at Avow Hospice in Naples, Fl. on February 13, 2012. He was born on July 30, 1930 in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. He was the first son of Stanley and Lucile Cutler. Doug earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Michigan in 1955 with a B.A., MBA and Law Degree. He was always exceedingly proud that this law school class graduated 3 Muskegon Heights boys in the top ten percent of their law class. He was hired by the Wall Street law firm of Cahill, Gordon, Reindel & Ohl but was called by the U.S. Army from 1956 - 1957. Determined to make good use of his time in the army, he put a leave time together to enable him to travel around the world before returning to Wall Street. He met and married the love of his life, Suzanne Prato, who survives. Ford Motor Company hired Doug in January, l969 where he worked for the office of General Counsel until his retirement. He was a past member of the Dearborn Country Club, Dearborn, Mi. and a member of The Detroit Athletic Club, Detroit, Mi. Doug was a devoted husband, loving father an avid golfer and loyal University of Michigan and Detroit Lions fan. He is survived by his two brothers, Kenneth B. (Cecilia) and Robert S.(Judy), wife, four sons, Douglas M. (Julie Bak), Craig K. (Joan Duffy), Scott P. (Kathi-Geroux) and David R. (Paula Maccini), eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held on February 28, 2012 at 12 Noon at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, Mi. 48124. Memorial Gathering at 11:00 am.
