Eleanor "E" Jean Maliche passed away on November 12, 2022 at the age of 102.  She was the only child born to Louis and Stella Maliche on December 27, 1919, in Detroit, Michigan.

E was a very strong, independent woman.  After graduating from Northwestern High School in Detroit, she began college at Wayne State University.  After one year, she transferred to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she received her Bachelor's degree (1942), Masters degree, and PhD. In Marketing.

E spent most of her career in Charleston, West Virginia teaching marketing at West Virginia State University.  She was also published and presented at conferences around the country.  E was president of the Marketing Management Association from 1997-1998.

Having traveled internationally and throughout the U.S. as well as regularly commuting between Charleston WV and Dearborn MI, E eventually retired to the home she built in 1950 in Dearborn.  She received much comfort from her beloved pet Boston Terriers through the years.  She also enjoyed watching the wildlife, flowers, and trees outside her window, not to mention enjoying the view inside some of her favorite casinos around the country.

Although E was very private and kept her circle small, those who know her knew a unique, caring person.  She will be missed.
