Earlene
Baker
December 12, 1933 – August 5, 2023
After 89 precious years of life, Earlene Baker has gone home to be with the lord. She passed peacefully at home in Taylor, Michigan with family at her side. Earlene moved from Mickey, Tennessee to Michigan in 1951, with her late husband, Willard Baker.
She is preceded in death by her late children, Steven Baker, Larry Baker, Anita Baker, Lisa Baker, Rose Baker, and her little dog, Scruffy.
Earlene is survived by her daughters, Wanda Dushane, Sharon Morris, Linda Baker, and Tina Baker. Her grandchildren, Matthew, Tiffany, Dakota, and many, many, more.
Earlene was a religious woman who enjoyed Church, Gospel music, and above all, the word of God. All who have met her would describe her as a strong, compassionate woman with a heart of gold and an abundance of southern hospitality. She loved working in her vegetable garden and enjoyed fried green tomatoes in the summertime. Earlene loved country music, a little bit of rock and roll, and a good joke, but there truly was nothing she loved more than her family. She will forever be missed by the many people whose lives she touched and live on forever in our hearts.
Visitation at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 9, 1-8pm. Service at the funeral home on Thursday, August 10, at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital ( https://www.stjude.org/ ) or Nightvision Ministries ( https://nightvisionministries.com/donate/ ) in her name.
