Edward Joseph Reeve Jr., 65, formerly of Grosse Ile, MI, died unexpectedly in Temecula, CA August 4, 2017. Eddie was a steel worker for 29 years, a cub scoutmaster when his boys were young, an urchin under the influence for 16 years, and a sober cook and part-time Santa at Fresh Start rehabilitation clinic in California for his last four years.

Eddie was a local guitarist and allegedly once opened for Fleetwood Mac, where Stevie Nicks was kind of bitchy to him at the after-party. He further alleged that he met Jim Morrison at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, MI.

He is predeceased by his father, Edward Joseph Reeve, and his mother, Mable V. Reeve (née Merrow). He is survived by his sister, Sherry Ganshert, of Murrieta, CA; his sons, Robert Reeve, 30, of Washington, D.C. and Adam Reeve, 27, of Riverview, MI; niece, Kelsie (Kelly) McCaffrey, nephew, Kyle Ganshert, his ex-wife, Linda Reeve, also of Riverview, MI; and his partner, Karen Shadbolt.
