Edward R.
St. Jacques
May 13, 1947 – January 19, 2023
Edward R. St. Jacques, age 75, passed away January 19, 2023 at home in Taylor, MI.
Beloved husband of Ellen for 52 years. Proud father of Shelly and Stephanie (Mike) Walker. Caring grandfather of Jacob, Julia, and Ava. Dear brother of Candice, Mary (Steve) Saunders, Princess (Pete) Devlin, Pamela, and the late Patience (John) Landry. Cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who he loved as family.
Edward lived a full life with much vigor and purpose. He received his Master's in mathematics and physics from Eastern Michigan University. He began his career at the Chrysler Trenton Engine plant. After getting his degree, he moved on to various office positions ultimately retiring after 39 years from the headquarters in Auburn Hills. But his heart was always in the plant as a foreman with his "Sweathogs".
In his down time, Edward was fulfilled by his work with many organizations and hobbies. He was an usher at Our Lady of the Angels Church, a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, and was active in the St. Paschal's Dad's Club when his daughters were young. He also was a member of The Eagles, The Elks, and The Moose. Ed physically stayed active through bowling and golf. He loved spending time at his cabin in the Houghton Lake area, where the highlight of his year was delivering Thanksgiving meals with The Elks to homes in the community. He also had a soft spot for animals. Edward enjoyed feeding the birds in his yard, and had a special relationship with his cat, Zoey.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to The Michigan Humane Society .
