Effie Morris passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024 at the age of 96.

She is survived by many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Ann Marie Morris.

Effie was a professional woman who spent her 35 year career working at Michigan Bell. She retired in 1989 as an account executive. Following her retirement, Effie kept busy by volunteering at her church and at the Henry Ford Museum Library. It was there that Effie met a wonderful group of women who welcomed her into the S&B Quilting Group; she was also a member of the Trinity Piecemaker Quilting Group.

Effie was a devout member of the Greek Orthodox Church. She was a longtime active member of SS Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Westland, MI.

A Funeral Mass will be held at SS Constantine and Helen on Tuesday, April 16, at 10:30am. A gathering at the church will begin at 9:30am. Interment to follow at Grand Lawn Cemetery.
