Elaine Marie Ahern sadly passed away on April 12th, 2021 at the age of 75. Born to the late Charles and Violet Ahern. Beloved sister of Diane (Wes) Boyer, Terrance (Cindy) Ahern, Timothy (Nancy) Ahern, and the late Sharon (William) Saley. Loving aunt to 8 nieces and nephews. Cherished great aunt to 9 great nieces and nephews.

Elaine graduated from Sacred Heart High School here in Dearborn, MI and then graduated with her Bachelors degree in Education at the University of Detroit. She then went on to the University of Delaware where she earned a second Bachelors degree of Education and then got her Masters of Physical Education. While at the University of Delaware, Elaine became an instructor for synchronized skating which was one of her greatest passions. She even got to a gold level in Ice Dance. In more recent years, Elaine was substitute teaching in the Dearborn/ Dearborn Heights area. She loved kids and she loved teaching no matter what age she was. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, and reading. Elaine loved her many cats that she had throughout her life. One of the cats was rescued by Elaine, the neighbors had moved and they left their indoor cat outside to fend for itself with no food or water. She didn't hesitate bringing the cat into her home and taking care of him, that was the kind of person that she was. She will be greatly missed by so many.
