In Loving Memory of Elaine Helene Orvis-Neumann
May 19th ,1940 – April 24th, 2025
It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Sister, Elaine Helene Orvis-Neumann, who left this world peacefully on April 24th, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones, and the angels above.
A gentle soul with a radiant smile, Elaine brought warmth and comfort to everyone who knew her. Her kind spirit and nurturing heart were the cornerstone of our family, she was always present with open arms, a listening ear, and unconditional love.
She had a lifelong passion for singing, and her voice, sweet and soothing, was so beautiful. Whether humming quietly, or singing softly to her children, music reflected her joyful spirit and deep appreciation for the simple beauty in life.
Family was everything to Elaine. She found her greatest joy in being a mother, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her hugs could heal, her laughter could light up a room, and her presence was a steady, calming grace through all of life's moments.
Though we are heartbroken, we take comfort in the love she gave so freely and the legacy of kindness and compassion she nurtured throughout her lifetime.
She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts always, and forever, including 7 children: Michelle (William), Shawn (Sharon), Paul (Doreen) Jeannine (John), Melissa Ann (deceased) Christopher (Donna), Jason (Gretchen) and their father John Neumann, 16 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. We invite friends and family to celebrate her life on May 5th, 10:00am, at Howe Peterson Funeral Home, Taylor Chapel.
Instead of flowers, please send donations to Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church & School, 13115 Telegraph Road Taylor, MI 48180, where she attended school and sang for the Lord. We ask that this be a tribute to her life, and in her memory.
Elaine - Forever in our hearts, her gentle light will never fade – We Love You.
