Eleanor Dingess, 86, wife of the late French Dingess, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025. Born on October 23, 1938, and raised in West Virginia, she lived a life marked by love, strength, devotion to her family, and a steadfast faith in God. A faithful Christian, Eleanor loved to attend church and cherished the fellowship she found within her faith community. She also enjoyed bowling, a pastime that brought her joy and many friendships over the years.
She was the loving mother of David (Tammy) Dingess and Janet (Scott) Ellsworth. Eleanor was the dear sister of Elias Adams, Franklin Adams, and Norman Adams, and was preceded in death by her siblings Hillard Adams, Charlie Adams, Chauncy Adams, Von Stollings and Benjamin Adams.
A proud grandmother, Eleanor is survived by Marie (Brian) Minnie, Brandon Dingess, Derek (Julie) Dingess, Ashley (Ryan) Beesley, Stephen Ellsworth, and Jamie Ellsworth. She was also blessed to be the great-grandmother of Madison, Annabelle, Oliver, Ella, Nola, Riley, and Cora. Eleanor deeply loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday September 13, 2025 from 10AM to 2PM, with funeral services at 2PM at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home Taylor Chapel. Burial will follow at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
Eleanor will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
