Eleanor McConville Sieger of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania died peacefully at age 93 in Livonia, Michigan on Friday, November 3, 2023. She lived a long, beautiful life filled with people for whom she dedicated her love and time. Eleanor's love language was gifts; she was a selfless, generous person who enjoyed quilting, crafts, plants, birds, books, and especially telling stories to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader who shared books as she shared her love. Born in Pittsburgh in 1930 to her parents Katherine Butterfield McConville and Joseph McConville, she married Edward Regis Sieger of Pittsburgh in 1956 and was happily married until his death in 2001. She is survived by their children, Edward Regis Sieger, Jr. (Helen) of Augusta, GA, Eleanor Hillebrand (Gary) of Farmington Hills, MI, Mary L. Sieger, Jane S. Lafferty (Jeffrey) of Jacksonville, FL., and Susan S. Smith (Greg) of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She leaves behind her legacy of love and compassion for children through her 5 children, 18 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Eleanor was a woman of great faith and a member of St. Bernard's church in Pittsburgh and St. Francis by the Sea in Hilton Head and was one of the original members who helped to build this church. Also of great significance to her was her founding of Mom's House in Pittsburgh where she served her faith by helping educate unwed mothers and provide housing and care for them and their children.

Her funeral mass will be held at St. Frances by the Sea on Hilton Head Island, SC at 10 AM on Friday, December 1st.
