Age 95. Survived by her loving son, Richard W. Bateman, nephew Rhinehart (Jan) Housaman, niece Mary Ann (Ray, M.D.) Clark, and nephew Thomas (Connie) Kovacs, seven great-nieces and nephews, and 14 great-great nieces and nephews. Also surviving are cousins Bill and Veronica Huszti of Windsor, Ontario, Canada and Alex and Elizabeth Huszti of LaSalle, Ontario, Canada and Leslie Huszti of Novi, Michigan. Mrs. Bateman passed away peacefully with her son by her side and was taken home to the Lord. She was a true Christian, loving mother and beloved aunt who showed kindness to all. Mrs. Bateman's interests were traveling and doing board games. Visitation 1-9pm Sunday and 8-8:15am Monday at J.L. Peters Funeral Home, 3880 Fort, Lincoln Park 313-928-6500. Prayer service at 7pm on Sunday at the funeral home. In state 9-10am Monday with services 10am at St. Stephen Byzantine Church, 4141 Laurence, Allen Park. Interment Our Lady of Hope in Brownstown.
