Elizabeth Hopkins passed away peacefully on February 27th, 2022 at the age of 86.   Beloved wife of the late Robert.  Loving mother of Vivian (Gregory) Dupuy and Larry Lane.  Dearest grandmother of Carrie (Thomas) Wolshon, Renee (Brian) Callaway, and Jessica (Chris) Edwards.  Proud "Gram" of Kate, Austin, Mason, Patrick, Alyssa and Gavin.  She is survived by her siblings, Julia (Steve) Katsaros and Mike (Florence) Nagy as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Velma Nagy, her father Michael Nagy, her brother Alex Nagy, sister-in-law Pearl Nagy, her niece Linda Katsaros, and her special friend Jim Buchanan.

Elizabeth was born in Earling, West Virginia, on February 12th, 1936.  She grew up in Detroit, Michigan, eventually settling in Taylor, Michigan where she lived out her life.

Elizabeth had a green thumb and a beautiful garden that she was very proud of.  She never met a stray animal that she did not love and most likely adopt.  She loved her dog Mickey and 2 cats, Precious and Baby Lucky as well as many others through the years.  Elizabeth found joy in children and would often sneak away at parties and holidays to play games with them.  She enjoyed cooking and had a vast collection of cookbooks. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Later in life, she joined a grievance group where she befriended many who supported her throughout the remainder of her life.  She also enjoyed attending events at the Taylor Senior Center.

She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
