Obituary

Betty Quinn of Gregory, formerly of Dearborn, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Gary for 54 wonderful years. Dear mother of Peggy (Mark) Samways. Proud grandmother of Allison (Eric) Kozfkay and Jake Samways. Great-grandmother of Landon. Betty is also one of eleven children of the Denton clan, including her twin sister, Mary Ann Hoffmann. She was predeceased by parents, Leslie and Eleanor Denton as well as her brothers Leslie, Edward, and Jimmy Denton.

Betty was one of the first female supervisors at Ford Motor Company. While there, she played softball on one of the Ford teams and was described as a "one woman team" herself. She was a natural athlete through her whole life and loved playing and watching sports; her favorites were the Detroit Lions, Notre Dame, and the Detroit Tigers, especially Miguel Cabrera. Later in life, she and Gary moved to Gregory where she managed her brother's Drug Store in town.

She was described by her family as the amazingly loyal and true family matriarch. She was the "fun aunt" to all of her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin with a rosary at 1:00pm on Saturday at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and continue until 5:00pm.
