Enedelia "Annie"
Valle
June 15, 1951 – October 19, 2024
Enedelia Q. Valle of Taylor gained her wings on October 19th, 2024. She was born on June 15th, 1951 to Francisco Quintero and Hortencia Zavala in Edinburg, Texas. Annie graduated from Patrick Henry high school in Deshler, Ohio in 1970. She worked as a legal secretary and held various administrative positions until 2005 when she became disabled as a result of Scleroderma. She was diagnosed in 1987 and was given only five years to live. She ended up battling Scleroderma for 37 years. Besides her family, Annie was devoted to volunteering and raising money for the Scleroderma Foundation of Michigan, where she served as President for several years. In July of 2008 she was presented with "Support Group Leader" of the year by the National Scleroderma Foundation. In November of 2008, she was also presented with a "Lifetime Achievement" award from the Michigan Scleroderma Foundation.
She had a passion for sports and played short stop for several softball teams. She loved to shop, especially with her granddaughters and great granddaughters. Annie loved to root on the Michigan Wolverines and all the Detroit teams, especially the Lions. In fact, she was able to connect with Hall of Famer, Barry Sanders, at a book signing for his first book. She recruited him to attend the annual Scleroderma Walk, which he did for several years. It created a warm relationship that she cherished.
Left to treasure her memory is her husband of 49 years, Conrad, her son Michael "Leon" Casarez (Nichole Huddleston), stepson Juan M Valle (Kristen Baliant), and stepdaughter Michelle Gonzalez. Grandchildren, Michael Heminger, Emilee Kiesel, Jessica Valle, Katelyn Boyer, Mariah Casarez, and Xavier Casarez. Ten great grandchildren, Tony Jr, Adele, Roman, Azalia, Aaron, Xander, Xavion, Alanna, Lola, and Audrey. Her sisters, Amelia (Rick) Williams, Mary (Jon) Zumbrunnen, Medina, OH, Thelma (James) Edwards Greenville, SC and Josie Cuevas (Gilbert Davila), Edinburg, TX. Special thanks to her niece Linda Madrigal for helping take care of Annie these last few months of her life. She is survived by an enormous amount of family on both sides. Annie was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Martin, Francisco, Victor and Marcos Quintero, her stepson Juan "Tony" Valle, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and well-wishes during this time. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Conrad Valle to help off-set the cost of services.
