Ernest "Ernie" S. Nagy Sr. passed away at his home with his family at his side on Sunday, January 1st, 2023, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 16, 1950, to late Frank and Elizabeth (Szwajkowski) Nagy. He married the former Audrey C. Vasser on August 23, 1969, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Dearborn, Michigan. Ernie was retired from Ford Motor Company, working at Wayne Assembly Plant until they moved to Whitmore, Michigan in 2005. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, working in the yard and his favorite TV shows. During his illness Audrey and Ernie enjoyed the friendship of his support group Friends Together, Iosco County.

Ernie is survived by his wife Audrey, of 53 years and their children, Ernest Jr. (Brenda Finan) Nagy, Gloria Nagy, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and his siblings Robert (Marygrace) Nagy, Debra (Robert) Erickson. Darlene (Keith) Edmunds. David (Marge) Nagy. He was predeceased by a daughter Janice Nagy and a sister, Deloris Nagy.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2022 from 10:00-11:00am and the Memorial Service will begin at 11:00am located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home Taylor Location 9800 Telegraph Rd. Taylor, MI 48180.
