Ernest C. Ray Jr., 89, of Dearborn, died Saturday July 24, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 30, 1920, in Detroit. Ernest served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WW II. He worked in management at General Motors. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 3860, Fr. Patrick O'Kelly, Sacred Heart Church, Dearborn. Ernest and his family traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. As a hobby he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and golf. Ernest is survived by his wife of 64 years, Caroline M. Dolich, Daughters, Charlotte John Foley, Ellen Royce Knoll, Christine Terry Whittington, and son, Matthew E. Donna Ray, Predeceased by daughter Susan M. Patrick Young. Also survived by his sister, Virginia Barill; 16 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral Mass Wed 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church Military and Michigan Prayers 9:30 a.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home 22546 Michigan Ave..
