Ernest A. Tsakiris (1924-2025)

Ernest (Ernie) was born and grew up in Detroit, the only child of Anthony and Helen Tsakiris. After high school at Cass Tech, he served in the Army in World War II. He earned an engineering degree at Wayne State University, and worked as an engineer for several companies ending with 25 years at Ford Motor Company. He loved reading both fiction and non-fiction and was an amateur photographer. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 63 years, Angeline, and a wonderful and loving father to his two sons, Anthony and Christopher.

He is survived by his wife Angeline, two sons Anthony (Nancy) and Christopher (Wendy), two granddaughters Alexia and Jillian (Aly), nieces Diane and Elaine, nephew Steven (Jennifer), and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews, including a namesake great-great-nephew.

He was and is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church 36375 Joy Rd, Westland, MI 48185. Instate at 9:30 a.m. and the service will begin at 10:30 a.m.
