Evaline Herald, age 86, passed away peacefully July 9, 2020 at First and Main Assisted Living and Memory Care in Commerce Township. She was born March 8, 1934 in Floyd County, Kentucky to Jasper and Maxie Blankenship. She moved to the Detroit area to babysit for some family members. This is where she met and married the love of her life and husband Lafayette (Ray) Herald September 1, 1956. He proceeded her in death in 1998. After 21 years, they have now been reunited in Heaven.

She was the dedicated mother of 3 boys and she especially loved being MaMaw and Grandma to 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Evaline enjoyed entertaining and traveling.

She was the loving mother of Billy Ray (Phylis) of McHenry, IL, Jerry E. of Highland, Mi and Randy L. (fiancee, Shelly Neal) of Trophy Club Texas. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years, her brothers Clyde, Kenis and Ed Lee, sister Versie Keathly and Ellen Hamilton.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, July 14 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Howe Peterson Funeral Home 22546 Michigan Ave Dearborn, MI

Celebration of Life to follow at 3:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery 32163 West Huron River Road, Flat Rock, MI.
