Flora Gorman, 92, passed away peacefully Friday October 10, 2025. Flora is survived by sons William (Marla) and Mark (Mary) Gorman, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill with whom she enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Flora was born in Italy on June 24, 1933, to Mario and Filomena Boccarossa and settled in Dearborn, Michigan where lived her entire life.  Flora taught elementary school for over 30 years at Nowlin elementary school while earning a master's degree from Eastern Michigan University. Flora has touched and inspired many lives during her time with us. Her life after teaching was spent volunteering at church, tutoring, traveling, going to concerts and reading.  Above all Flora treasured time spent with family. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by family. Memories created with loved ones were her most cherished possession.

Flora's Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 20th at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 17650 Outer Dr W, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127. Visitation at church Monday from 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Hedwig Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Angela Hospice
