Florence Gilda Stevens went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 12, 2021 at the age of 87. Florence was born in Florence, Colorado on November 2, 1933 to Angelo and Pasqualena Santilli. She shared 64 happy years of marriage with the late Kenneth Ray Stevens, who preceded her in death in 2020. She was the loving mother of Deborah (Michael) Remmel, Cheryl (the late Michael) Cook, and Ken Jr. (Dr. Rose) Stevens. She was the proud grandmother of Amanda (Robert) Norris, Jaclyn (Russell) Anderson, Zachary and Justin Cook, Joshua, Katelyn and Nathan Stevens, and great grandmother to Amelia Anderson and future Baby Norris. She was the dear sister of the late Salvador Santilli and the late Vera Karbon.

Florence graduated from Fordson High School, Dearborn, Michigan. Following graduation, she worked for Ford Motor Company where she met and married Ken. Raising and caring for their 3 children was her primary focus. Florence was a loving mother and a dedicated wife. Her cooking, baking and entertaining skills will be a hallmark of her legacy. She loved to welcome guests and family into her home and prepare a delicious meal for them. Her motto was: "If you left hungry, it's your own fault." Her love of entertaining has now been passed down to two generations.

Florence came to know Christ early in her relationship with Ken and together they raised their family to know and trust Jesus. Today she resides in Heaven with no more sorrow, no more pain and we as believers have the assurance we will be reunited again when Christ calls us home.

Funeral service will be at Henry Ford Village Chapel (now named Alegria Village) on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11.

Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens, Plymouth, Michigan.
