Frank John Vratny, 71, passed away in his family home in Belleville on May 16th, 2018.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Helen.
Proud father of Alicia Albert, Mark (Cecilia), Scott (Julie), Jason (Tamiko), and Allison (Clifton) Adams.
Devoted grandfather to Emma, David, Alexandria, Tyler, Xavier, Brandon, Shayla, Jordan, Bailee, and Kasandra.
Dear brother to Marge Poindexter and Kathy Ross.
Caring best friend to pup Samantha.
Frank was a man of depth with many interests. In past years, he grew fond of golfing and eventually took a proficiency to building and fixing computers. Over many years time he amassed an impressive collection of stamps. He was kind and playful, enjoying life as a jokster. Frank loved to be a grandfather and was involved whole-heartedly in his community and his church. He lived an astounding life and touched so many. He will be missed dearly.
Frank was also in the Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. We at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home would like to thank him and his family for his service and for the sacrifices he made for our country.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 19 from 2-8PM and Sunday, May 20 from 1-5PM. The funeral will be Monday, May 21 at 11AM. All services will be located at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph. Frank will be laid to eternal rest at Parkview Cemetery.
