Freda Marie Berce (nee Cudillo) passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024 at the age of 100.

Beloved wife of Ted for 72 wonderful years. Dearest mother of Rob (Tricia) Berce, Patsi (Pat) Burke, and Pam (Jim) Szilagyi. Proud grandma of Mickey (Lindsey) Berce, Mandy (Brad) Piland, Meredith Berce (Joe Carter), Brad Burke (Britt Rosenthal), Doug Burke, Jaclyn Szilagyi, Brian Szilagyi, and Lauren (Kevin) Manser. Great-grandma of Kennedy and Cameron Berce and Teddy Piland. She was preceded in death by her seven siblings.

Freda and Ted are lifelong Dearborn residents and were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 72 years ago in July 1952. She had a lifelong love of dancing, a passion that brought her and Ted joy and happiness. Freda was proud to be the matriarch of the family and set the bar high when it comes to raising and loving a family.

Visitation at the Dearborn location of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 4-8pm. Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 11am. Gathering at the church begins at 10:30am.

Private interment at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
