Obituary

Fred Bouchard, retired Building Engineer, 15 years at Wyandotte Public Schools and previous Crane Operator at McLouth Steel for 23 years.  He was a long time resident of Southgate, Michigan.  Fred lost his 4 year struggle with cancer, while in the hospital fighting his last and final battle.

He is survived by his wife, Rita, of 28 years, together 39.  His children, Frederick Earl (April) and Misty (Sam) Bonanni.  Grandchildren, Tricia, Ryan and Derick.  Brother Marcus, half-brother Rick, "Chuck" and "Scotty".  Half-sister Anita, "Toni" Bouchard and Diane Carey.  Step-brothers Brian, Art, & Debbie Horn.  It was quite the "blended" family that loved him so dearly.  He will be missed by many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.

When Fred became ill, the doctors asked him what he expected for an outcome?  He always responded, "I want to live! I have a lot of people who love me!"  Of course they meant the world to him.

He is predeceased by his grandfather, Marcus, "Pops", grandmother Cecelia "Granny", father Fred Bouchard.  Sisters, "Angie", "Debbie" and "Jan".  Mother "Kay" and stepfather "Jack" Windham and stepsister Patty Horn.  Last but not least, his number 1 son, Ted Alan "Teddy".

Fred himself, had many nicknames, Peewee, Goldfinger, Magic Man and his very favorite, Santa.  He enjoyed holidays, attending parties and ribbing people.  He always said he was an "equal opportunity harasser".

He was a man of many talents.  He taught himself calligraphy, gift wrapping, cake decorating, fooling around with his guitars, gun smithing and anything relating to guns.

Fred received his 25 year Masonic lapel pin and hated that he was too sick to attend meetings regularly.  He was friends with those in Law Enforcement and when he was able he enjoyed going to dinners, Choir Boys luncheons and being with his friends at "Taco Tuesday".  He honestly loved to teach others and impress his buddies with his knowledge of guns.

Fred was a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be truly missed!
