Frederick Di
Censo
January 23, 1950 – December 22, 2021
Frederick Alberino Di Censo was born January 23, 1950. He grew up in Dearborn, MI, where he graduated from Fordson High School. Soon after, he recorded with the group Gallery, where he played guitar and sang.
Fred eventually earned a Computer Science degree from the University of Michigan. He worked in IT for several years after, maintaining software for the likes of Oakland University and Domino's Farms. During the same period of time, he performed music gigs with such artists as the Johnny Trudell Orchestra, at such venues as Andiamo's and the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center.
Most recently, Fred played guitar at the Motown Bistro inside Bert's Marketplace. He also taught music to several students who loved and respected him.
Fred loved to fish every chance he had during the summer. His favorite spot as of late was Kensington Metropark in Milford, where he'd spend hours catching bass, bluegill, and sunfish among others.
When he was at home, Fred loved practicing and writing music. He could sing, play guitar, bass, saxophone, clarinet, ukulele and piano. Besides that, he enjoyed frequenting the movie theater, as well as reading a good book at the local library.
There are plenty of people who will miss Fred each and every day. He was a caring husband and father to Jacqueline and Sean, respectively, and a beloved brother to Greg (Joy) and Carol. He was a helpful uncle to Michael and Phillip, and a true friend to many.
Son of proud parents Alberino and Mary, Fred will be remembered as a talented and respected musician whose generosity knew no bounds. The community who knew him will always cherish his memory, as he will continue to live in our thoughts and our hearts.
