Gary Thompson passed away on September 10th, at the age of 66.

Loving son of Arthur and Jean Thompson. Dear brother of Nora (Jon) Smith. Caring nephew to Aunt Ruth Blickenstaff, Uncle Walt Ansman, and Aunt Shirley Thompson. He is also survived by many loving friends and family.

Gary was truly gifted when it came to writing. His grandmother had her own column in her local newspaper, Gary grew up reading those and talking with her about writing. He loved reading and studying grammar and writing. He was always able to take any ordinary text and turn it into something, interesting, meaningful, and well put together. His true passions really came out in college when he was working on the school newspaper, or in his career journaling for the Dearborn Times-Herald. Gary also was a state delegate for Michigan, he enjoyed studying politics alongside journalism. Gary was a devout Christian, his faith was an essential part of his life. He will be deeply missed.
