THACKER, Gene  Age 65 of Romulus

Gene David Thacker, son of Gladys and Rola Thacker, was born November 9th,1957 in Pikeville, Kentucky. Lived most of his life in Romulus, Michigan. Retired from GM. Gene enjoyed boating, fishing and family gatherings.

Gene passed away August 24th, 2023. He is survived by his longtime companion Eva Candler, his three children: Bridget Sheffer, Johnny and David Thacker as well as numerous grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 1:00-3:00pm with the Funeral Service at 3:00pm located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home 9800 Telegraph Rd. Taylor, MI 48180.
