LaGosh, George, age 86, of Dearborn, MI went home to claim his eternal reward on March 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.   Beloved husband of Lucinda (Krantz) for 63 years and devoted father of four: Vincent, Christine Jordan(Mike), Lindsay Schuetz(Bill), and Claire Kurtinaitis(Jeremey). George was the adored "Grandpa" of seven: Brett, Elizabeth, Ryan, Nicholas, Luke, Hannah, and Kathryn.  He is predeceased by his parents Max and Margaret, and brother Buck.

He will forever be missed in the hearts of his loving family, including many extended family members. George grew up in Dearborn.  After service in the U.S. Navy, he returned to Dearborn, graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a Masters Degree in Education.  He enjoyed many years teaching elementary students at Fischer School.  He retired in 1995. After college, he married the love of his life, Lucinda ("Cindy").  Their love and family grew and Dearborn has remained their lifelong home. George was an avid reader and a lifelong learner.  He loved spending time on his parent's farm, enjoying the outdoors and farming lifestyle. He was incredibly active, and loved basketball and exercise, but his favorite pastimes were the adventures he shared with his grandchildren, leaving them with treasured memories.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 3rd, 11am. Gathering at the church begins at 10am. Inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly Michigan on Thursday, April 4th, 1:30pm.
