George
Madden
May 3, 1935 – May 23, 2023
George Madden, age 88, passed away May 23, 2023.
Beloved husband of Bonnie.
Proud father of Michael (Angela) Madden and the late Karla Bloodworth.
Caring grandfather of Jason and great-grandfather of 3.
George started his career at General Motors from a young age. Moving up to Michigan from Kentucky around his 18th year, he worked on the assembly line for 30 years until his retirement. He also met Bonnie through this venue one serendipitous day when she decided to crash a company birthday party for George.
George as a man of many facets. He excelled at working with his hands. With a talent for woodworking, he would build and fix intricate clocks. Everyone in the family has their own clock that George had worked on. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and bicycles, one of his most prized being a classic Phantom bike. Even when his arthritis started to get bad, he'd still find time to work on his clocks.
More than anything, George loved his family and spending time with them. He'd often work on his projects with his son, Mike. He'd take them along on his journeys to yard sales, flea markets, and antique shops to find more treasures to restore.
