Gostenik, Gerald, Sr.  Age 73. Entered into rest on December 26, 2019.  Loving father of Gerald Gostenik Jr. (Karin), Ricky Gostenik, Kevin Gostenik (Masha) and Lisa Querijero (Ernie).  Dearest grandfather of Julia, George, Sennen and Violet.  Dear brother of Pat Erwin and the late Dick Gostenik.  Gerald was a devoted son.  He taught auto shop for 31 years.  He was a gifted mechanic who worked on cars for the love of it.  Gerald was known to  drag race with one of his many hot rods over the years,  often winning, thanks to his prized 409 engine and skill behind the wheel! He was a member of the Nostalgia Super Stock Car Club.  He spent most of his life playing and coaching ice hockey.  He will truly be missed by his children, students and many good friends he had made over the years.  Visitation will be Monday 12-4 p.m.  at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home.  Interment Glen Eden Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit, 16121 Reckinger Rd., Dearborn, Mi. 48126.
