Gerry was born and raised in Detroit to parents Guy and Viola White. Gerry retired from Ford Motor Co. where she worked for 20 years. Gerry was an intellect and completed daily crosswords, including the NYT crossword in ink. She was an avid reader; finishing multiple books a week, and lover of puzzles, bingo, and board games, most notably scrabble. She had wonderful handicraft skills such as painting, needle-point, and crocheting.
