Our beloved mother, Geraldine "Gerry" V. Oestrike, entered into God's Kingdom on March 25, 2022 after a long full life. She was 103 years young.

Gerry was born to Alf & Rachel Ericson on March 15, 1919 in New York City, New York. She attended Lapeer High School.

In 1938, Gerry met Julian "Jude", a match truly made in heaven. Jude saw Gerry from across a boat and got her name and address off of her suitcase and began correspondence. They married on October 12, 1940. Julian enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1942 -1945. Later they settled and made Dearborn Heights their home for 74 years. Gerry & Jude went on to have two children, Karen and Linda. Gerry taught herself how to sew while in high school. She went on to sew clothes for herself, daughters, and grandkids. She would do alterations for many out of her home. She faithfully attended her weekly Bingo on Friday nights. Another hobby she thoroughly enjoyed was playing the slot machines at the Casinos. Later, she moved into assisted living in Brighton, MI until her death.

Gerry joins her mother, father, sister, brother, granddaughter (Kelly Lawrence), infant granddaughter (Tracy Touquet) and beloved husband, Julian Oestrike, in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members, including daughters: Karen Perry (Larry) of Redford, MI, Linda Touquet (Dennis) of Eaton Rapids, MI, grandchildren: Kim St. Angelo (Marc) of Oviedo, FL, Michelle Ripley (Kevin) of Ethan, SD, Jeremy Dybash (Laura) of Federal Way, WA, Michael Touquet (Sandi) of Mason, MI, she was blessed with 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren with 2 more to be born this year!
