Gertrude Burgess of Taylor, MI passed away on June 21, 2023 at the age of 61. Loving daughter of Zebbie and Arlene Burgess, beloved sister of Linda Burgess, Sharon Gamble (Kevin) and the Late Shirley Burgess. Loving aunt of Sharon Trinidad (Vick), Glissette Trinidad Lawson (Dana), David Trinidad (Rena) and the late Shirley Trinidad Larkins (Dion). Loving great aunt of Destiny, Octavius, Tyara, Marlon, Gloria, Ricardo, Jeremiah, and Leviticus Jr.

Gertie graduated from Western High School in Detroit, Michigan in 1979. She worked mostly in the food industry. Gertie was a person who showed love towards everyone and she was always concerned about others before herself. Gertie always had a listening ear for anyone who needed her. She will be truly missed by all.
