Gertrude "Cinch" Shank passed away on November 11, 2025 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Douglas for 38 years. Loving stepmother of Tamara Shank and the late Tara Shank. Cherished step grandmother of Addison. Dearest sister of Douglas Bromley and Darrell Bromley. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Cinch was a beloved aunt who dedicated herself to spending time with her nieces and nephews and their children. You could see the excitement and pride in her eyes when she would tell stories about them or when she would receive good news regarding them. She would travel across the country to see those who lived far and made the effort to be present in our lives. She also had a great love for animals, especially horses and cats, and spent many hours in the saddle. She also loved to travel and see new places. No vacation was complete without plenty of pictures of the flowers wherever they were. Cinch also loved to read and trade books between fellow book lovers.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services 9800 Telegraph Rd Taylor, MI 48180.
