Gilbert H. Strachan Jr., of Dearborn Michigan, passed away on November 14, 2021 at the age of 88 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret of 69 wonderful years and was a loving father to his daughters: Robin McGinnis and Peggy Cote, as well as his son in law, Tim Cote. He was the best Papa to his grandchildren Brian (Tara) Blesener, Heidi (William) Miller, Margaret (Nelson) LeBlanc and Claire (Nicholas) Bassham. Gilbert had twelve great grandchildren plus one on the way: Colin, Ian, and Evan Blesener. Liberty, William, Grace, Zachary, Maximus, and Xavier Miller. Emmett LeBlanc, Brandon, and Bradie Bassham. They will miss their Papa G.

Gilbert was coroneted as a 33 ^rd Degree Mason in 1991 because of his outstanding service to the Brotherhood as well as his professional and personal accomplishments. Gilbert faithfully served over 67 years as a member, Past Master and Secretary of Olive Branch Masonic Lodge #542.

He proudly worked for 34 years at Ford Motor Company. He served as a reserve Police officer for the city of Dearborn. In retirement he spent time as a real estate agent.

Gilbert was a man of strong faith. Gilbert and Margaret were parishioners of Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church, Dearborn Michigan. He loved to sing in the choir and everywhere else.

Gilbert was a loving, hardworking, and compassionate family man. He will be missed dearly.
