Harlan Wayne
Elmore
June 13, 1935 – March 22, 2026
Harlan Wayne Elmore, born on June 13th, 1935 in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, passed away on March 22nd, 2026 in Taylor, Michigan.
Harlan lived a life rooted in a deep appreciation for the outdoors. An avid sportsman, he found great joy in hunting and fishing, often tying his own fly-fishing lures with care and skill. He loved camping under the open sky and took pride in tending his garden, nurturing both plants and the peaceful moments that came with them.
A man of many talents and interests, Harlan enjoyed wood carving and photography, capturing both the beauty of nature and the simple moments of life. He was also passionate about model aviation, finding satisfaction in both the craft and the creativity it required.
Above all, Harlan loved his family. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his appreciation for the natural world, and the time he spent doing what he loved most—often with those he cared about by his side.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Harlan was the loving husband of the late Jeane. He is survived by his son Mark (Wendy), grandchildren Christian, Kelli, Issac, and Brianna, as well as many extended family members and friends.
