Harold was born on December 30,1947 in Detroit, MI, to Harold Alfred Rahrig, Sr. and May Ambrose (Noel) Rahrig.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mrs. Timothy (Clara Sue) Whyte.
Harold graduated from Visitation High School in 1966 to Wayne State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education. When drafted, he served in the US Army until honorably discharged in 1972.
Harold married Nancy Elizabeth (Hicks) Rahrig on June 12,1971 in Dearborn, MI. They celebrated over 53 years of marriage. Harold felt that the day they met at Wayne State was the luckiest day of his life.
Harold worked at the Ford Motor Company (first at the Rouge Complex and later at the Livonia Transmission Plant) where he loved being an Industrial Electrician, for over 39 years retiring in 2012.
Harold stayed active in his retirement as a volunteer. For the Boy Scouts he was a den leader and Troop Commissioner. At the Dearborn Historical Museum he cataloged and digitalized items in their collection and also volunteered with his wife at their children's activities. He was often seen at his granddaughter's sports and school events.
