Harry Truman Jones, 77, of Van Buren Township, Michigan passed away on February the 24th of 2023.

Harry was born in Brevard, North Carolina on September 21,1945 to Julian and Azalee Jones.  He moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1948 with his parents, older sister, Carolyn Jones, and younger brother, James Jones.  Harry graduated from Chadsey High School in 1964.  He joined the Armed Forces in April 1965 where he served in Vietnam with the Green Berets in the 173 Airborne Brigade.

Harry married his beautiful wife, Sidonia, on April 3rd 1982.  He is survived by his children - Ericka (Tim) Williams, Joshua (Tasha) Jones, and Tara (Nathaniel) Curren and his 3 grandchildren - Eliya Jones, Elijah Jones, and Lilah Curren.

Harry was a hard worker and dedicated 51 years to General Motors.  Harry gave his life to Jesus in 1970 and has attended Rivers Worship Center since.  He loved history, bluegrass music, bowling, cruises, chocolate milk and hotdogs, watching sports and, most of all, his family.  Harry had a great memory and was able to recall names, dates, and sports statistics on a whim.  He loved to tell stories and valued quality time with his family and friends.
