Jul 30, 1957 — Oct 21, 2026

Trenton, Michigan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Henry James Hentnik, who departed this world peacefully on October 21, 2026, in the comfort of his home. Born on July 30, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, Henry was a cherished son of the late Henry Hentnik and late Josephine Lillian Hentnik.

Henry shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mary Patrice Hentnik, until her passing. Together, they built a beautiful family and a life filled with love and laughter in Detroit, Dearborn, and Taylor, Michigan. Their union was blessed with three children: Christina Kostrzewa (Jeremy), Christopher Hentnik (Jessica), and Heather Hentnik. Henry took immense pride in his role as a grandfather, doting on his four grandchildren: Jason Kostrzewa, Lucas Kostrzewa, Audrina Hentnik, and Alexander Hentnik.

An entrepreneur at heart, Henry founded "Henry's Lawnmower and Small Engine Repair," a small business he lovingly operated from his garage. His talent for fixing anything and everything was widely renowned, and his garage was a testament to his dedication and skill. Beyond his work, Henry delighted in simple pleasures, such as playing with his grandchildren and savoring a bowl of ice cream.

Family vacations to Cedar Point and trips up north were sources of great joy, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Henry's humor and warmth were evident in every gathering, especially when the family would joke, "When the smoke alarm goes off, dinner is done," a testament to his playful spirit.

Henry's family fondly remembers him with these words: "Dad, you will be missed. We will remember all the good times, the laughter, and the jokes. We will remember all the lessons you taught us. Love you, Dad. Rest easy, Dad."

Henry James Hentnik's legacy will live on through the love and laughter he shared with his family and friends. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
