Miller
September 14, 1931 – May 21, 2020
Irene V. Miller (Czarnik) age 88, was born in Carleton Michigan in 1931 and moved to Detroit as a child where she lived on Waldo near Our Lady Queen of Angels (OLQA) for 38 years. She attended OLQA elementary school and graduated from Chadsey High School. For a brief time, Irene worked at Sanders in downtown Detroit making hot fudge sundaes. She married Arthur Miller and had three children and five grandchildren. Irene was active in school and church activities at Our Lady Queen of Angels including being an instructor for elementary school gym classes. She enjoyed annual camping trips with her husband and young children. Irene also spent time at the family cottage in Rose City Michigan and hosted many family events there. Irene and her husband Arthur moved to Dearborn Heights after he retired from United Parcel Service. She will be remembered for her Polish cooking, holiday feasts, and annual pirogi making day. Irene's husband Arthur passed away in 2008 and her sister Cecilia passed away earlier this year.
Irene is survived by her son Michael Miller and his spouse Katherine, son James Miller and his spouse Judy, and her daughter Kathy Turzewski (Miller) and her spouse David. Her grandchildren include Elisa Webb (Turzewski), Michael Turzewski, Shelley Keyser (Turzewski), Nathan Miller, and Sean Miller.
