James E. Godfrey, 54, passed away March 15th, 2018 in Royal Oak, Michigan.
He was a loved father to Rachel Slater.
Treasured brother to Thomas Godfrey and Cheryl Spencer.
A cherished family member to so many more.
James was an active fisherman. He loved to visit Florida with his family and go to the waterfront to enjoy a refreshing swim. James had a talent for the automotive world; from fixing cars at his job to working on friends, and even his own, in his spare time. He cared so much for his family and friends. He'd give you the shirt from his back if you needed it. James will be missed by so many.

A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, April 24th from 9:00am-12:00pm at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home on 9800 Telegraph. Immediately following James will be inurned at Great Lakes National Cemetery with military honors.
