Obituary

James Hill passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, at the age of 73, just days before his 74th birthday. Born on February 25, 1952, James spent his life rooted in Taylor, Michigan, where he built a quiet but meaningful legacy through his work, his family, and his generous spirit.

James was married to the love of his life, Rita, in 1990, though their love story began nearly 50 years ago. Together they built a life grounded in commitment, partnership, and enduring devotion. Their bond was a true testament to lasting love.

He worked as an automotive engineer in a small factory, where his steady nature, patience, and strong work ethic earned the respect of those around him. James was incredibly easygoing and observant; the kind of person who noticed the small things others might miss. He was always willing to lend a hand — to family, friends, or even strangers — never asking questions, never expecting anything in return. Helping others simply came naturally to him.

Outside of work, James enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He loved watching television, especially baseball and football games, cheering on his favorite teams. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting with both bow and arrow and firearms, as well as spending peaceful days fishing. He also had a keen interest in computers, always curious and engaged with technology.

James will be remembered for his patience, his calm presence, his quiet strength, and his generous heart. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories for those who knew and loved him. His steady guidance and selfless spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten

James leaves behind many family members and friends who will always remember him for his love and generosity.
