James W. Kelley, 84, passed away May 25, 2019 at his home in Taylor, Michigan.

Survived by his beloved wife of 46 cherished years, Lois C. Kelley.
Proud father of Lynn (Duane) Lawrence and the late Kim (Dave) McIntosh.
Dear grandfather of Joe Vitale, James Vitale, Nathan Lawrence, Riley Lawrence, Caleb Lawrence, and the late Russy.
Caring great-grandfather of Ashley and Noah.
Treasured brother of Libby (Leonard) Sluss, and the late Bill Kelley and Betty Murry.

James was a dedicated man through and through. Before diving headlong into the workforce, he joined the Navy and served 3 years during the Korean war. He then went on to work as an electrician in the steel mill industry for 52 years all the way into his 70's. Outside of his occupation, he enjoyed being a part of the Masons and was honored to usher at Woodhaven Baptist Church in his later years. James was fond of fishing and gardening in his spare time. Above all, he was a devoted family man. When not watching a Tiger's game, he was attending every one of his grandchildren's games he could. James did all he could to provide for his family and loved them unconditionally. He was a kind, strong, and humorous man who will be missed by so many.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 28 from 2-8PM. Funeral Wednesday, May 29 at 11AM. All services will be located at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph. James will be laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
