James William McFarland

James William McFarland, age 70, of Dearborn, passed away on April 5, 2024.

James was born in Detroit on June 2, 1953 to parents Virginia Kimball and James McFarland.

James was a proud Vietnam veteran and the owner operator of J. Mack's Hardware in the Warrendale neighborhood of Detroit for over 20 years. James had many interests in life including hunting, fishing, painting, and model trains. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

James was preceded in death by his father James, mother Virginia, stepfather Steve, and sisters Gloria and Judy. James is survived by his wife of 49 years Patrice, sister Janet (Robert) Melonio, brother Michael Mack, three children James (Shannon), Beth (Julian) Bond, and Thomas, as well as his four grandchildren Audrey, Eloise, Andrew, and Jacob.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Anselm's Catholic Church located at 17650 Outer Dr. W, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127, on Friday, April 12th at 10:00AM, instate at 9:30AM.
